Members of the NSW community, their spouses, and their children make many sacrifices, both large and small, in service to our country. The focus of the Navy SEAL Foundation is to provide support and promote peace of mind to those who live with a high level of unknown factors as a matter of routine. And to fulfill our mission of immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the NSW community and their families, we have three core areas of support.
» Family Services & Command Support
In times of adversity or loss, the Foundation steps in to assist families by easing their financial burdens. If an active-duty member of the NSW community is injured or dies in combat or training, we help the family with everything from memorial services to mortgage support and home maintenance assistance. We also support morale-building efforts that include family events and retreats, children’s campouts, and holiday celebrations. Additionally, the Foundation supports NSW Commands with post and pre-deployment retreats, Command all-calls, graduations, family days, and many other Command activities and programs.
» Educational Programs
The Foundation promotes educational achievement by awarding scholarships to active-duty NSW personnel, their spouses, and children. Financial assistance is provided for those enrolled in the Navy Tuition Assistance program and Program for Afloat College Education (PACE).
» Legacy Preservation
The Foundation takes an active role in ensuring that the elite warriors of the NSW community are remembered and recognized for their contributions in the defense of America’s freedoms. In addition to funding monuments and memorials across the country, our SEAL Heritage Center (SHC), located on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia, provides a place where families receive support services. The SHC also holds recreational and social events for families of deployed personnel and hosts NSW functions and memorials.
