Educational Programs

Encouragement and Recognition for Educational Achievements

The Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community thrives on achievement in every field of endeavor, including education. Active-duty operators, spouses, and children are encouraged to advance their learning as far as their interests and abilities will take them.

The educational support we provide augments funding accessible through Navy programs and provides additional financial resources that would not otherwise be available. Your support of our mission helps to ensure that members of the NSW community can pursue educational goals that are as crucial in the military as they are in the civilian world.

Scholarships – The 2013 Application Acceptance Has Closed

Once a year we award Navy SEAL Foundation scholarships to qualifying active-duty operators, spouses, and children for college expenses. Click on the scholarship program below to learn about eligibility and access the applications.

Supplemental Education Assistance

Where the Navy pays class costs only, we offer funds to pay for necessities such as books and lab fees. Our efforts help make it possible for NSW community members to participate in the Navy Tuition Assistance program and Program Afloat College Education (PACE). The Foundation also helps to defray the cost of test preparation for standardized exams through a partnership with Kaplan Test Prep.

Education with a Foundation Program

Children of NSW operators killed in combat or in training receive new computers every three years through the completion of their secondary education.

Motivation

The Navy SEAL Foundation provides for command events as well as seasonal family events including the Easter Egg Roll, holiday parties, children’s campouts, and children’s sports days. Our motivation programs encourage the families of our SEALs, SWCC, and all other NSW personnel to keep involved and motivated as a valued part of the NSW community.
