Los Angeles Joggin’ For Frogmen Race

November 10 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Letter from the Race Director

I am so pumped to be the Race Director of the first Joggin’ for Frogmen event to be held in Los Angeles. I have participated in this event numerous times down in San Diego and can’t wait see my fellow Angelenos experience what this wonderful event offers. From the Tadpole Trot for kids to the main 5k race through Elysian Park, this will be such a special day supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation which directly supports the Naval Special Warfare community and families of our fallen special forces. I would also like to give a special thanks to the LAPD for providing their facilities and volunteer support. Growing up with a family full of Naval officers, I look forward to bringing this event to Los Angles and I look forward to seeing you there!

The Mission

The inaugural Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k run/walk and kids’ Tadpole Trot was held in San Diego on July 29, 2012. The race marked the one year anniversary of the Extortion 17 helicopter tragedy in Afghanistan by paying tribute to the 30 American warriors and 1 working dog lost that fateful day. Through this single race in San Diego, Joggin’ for Frogmen raised over $58,000 net contribution.

In 2016, Joggin’ for Frogmen became the Official Race Series and the Official Running Team of the Navy SEAL Foundation. Joggin’ for Frogmen is continuing to grow across the United States, as well as expanding our reach worldwide via the Running Team. To date we have raised over $700,000 net contribution. As we continue to grow and build momentum, we hope you will join us and contribute to Joggin’ for Frogmen in 2017!
