On April 11, Dressed to Kilt brought its signature blend of Scottish fashion, culture, and philanthropy back to New York City at the New York Academy of Medicine. Co-founded by Sir Sean Connery and Dr. Geoffrey Scott Carroll, the internationally recognized event once again delivered a memorable evening in support of the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF).
This year’s theme, “Scotland Cool: Braveheart to Outlander,” featured a runway lineup that paired heritage tartans with contemporary design. Designers from across Scotland and beyond showcased collections blending craftsmanship with innovation, including Carolyn Baxter, Prophetik by Jeff Garner, Strathmore Woollen Company, Lorna Gillies, Sandra Murray, and Red Label Kilts of Canada. The evening also marked the launch of Redmond Harvey of Scotland, a new bespoke women’s brand founded by designer Holly Harvey, who debuted a series of striking tartan gowns on the runway.
Hosted by Dr. Carroll and Scottish television personality Danni Menzies, the show featured standout moments throughout the night. Miss Scotland 2026, Eilidh MacDonald, walked in a bespoke gown by GWEN RUSSELL. Scottish football legend John Collins took to the runway ahead of Scotland’s anticipated return to the global football stage. Award-winning Scottish jazz vocalist Georgia Cecile made her U.S. debut, and rising boy band Just the Brave brought high energy to the crowd. Guests also enjoyed exclusive access to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s global whisky program, including a custom event label created for the occasion.
One of the most meaningful announcements of the evening was a new collaboration between Strathmore Woollen Company and the NSF. Strathmore has curated a collection of products in an official NSF tartan. It includes kilts, scarves, hats, and other accessories, all woven and made in Scotland. Ten percent of all tartan sales, including both fabric and finished products, are donated to the NSF. Customers shipping outside the UK also receive a 20% discount at checkout, as VAT does not apply. The collection is available now through Strathmore’s dedicated NSF shop, with worldwide shipping.

True to form, Dressed to Kilt continues to serve as a platform where culture, fashion, and purpose come together. Several former Navy SEALs participated in the show, reinforcing the connection between the event and the community it supports. We’re grateful to Dr. Carroll and the entire Dressed to Kilt team for their continued partnership and for making the NSF part of such a special evening.
