TRANSPARENCY

The Navy SEAL Foundation is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, national non-profit charitable foundation. We are audited annually and the final report is posted on the Foundation’s website for public review and publication, as is the annual IRS 990 filing.

SUSTAINABILITY

We take steps to ensure the programs created are not only needed but also sustainable. The Foundation positions itself to exist for the long term. Programs are created with extensive analysis, and we are committed to providing each one as long as needed.

EFFICACY

The Foundation’s goal is to provide a network of resources that is purposeful and easily accessible for the NSW force and their families. We seek to create efficiencies while leveraging the experience and resources of other reputable non-profits who are experts in the field.

EFFICIENCY

We are proud to report that 95 cents of every dollar donated to NSF went directly to program support or was retained future mission use. Our fundraising efficiency is 1.6% meaning that it cost the Foundation $0.016 to raise $1.00 based on the Charity Navigator 3-year average.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of a majority of former or retired SEALs. Our staff includes NSW community members and veterans.
